The Short Quiff
Quiff notes: a short classic.
Quiffs have always been popular, whether worn as a full and dramatic '50s pompadour, or as a subtle and elegant frontal flick. This short style's the latter. It works in the office as well as on the dance floor, and adds an element of the extraordinary to your day-to-day style.
Want to commit to the short quiff? There are two ways to do it: beginner quiffers should concentrate on building volume on top for a look with a just a hint of rock 'n' roll. If you want to go to extremes, clip the sides of your hair to emphasise the bump at the front.
How it Began
The History
The rock 'n' rollers made the quiff big in the 1950s. But you have to thank Marie-Antoinette and the aristocrats of 17th-century France for inventing it. To this day the quiff remains the go-to cut for rockers and dandies alike.

Neat quiffs need to be combed in to position. Messy quiffs can be shorter and more ruffled.
