Superstar DJ: Alesso’s Magic

Born in Sweden, Alesso (Alessandro Lindblad to his mum), is a bit of a prodigy. He released his first EP when he was 18 and, since then, he’s kept climbing the ladder towards world domination. In 2015, he was named Global DJ of the Year by Mixmag. His hits have soared to the top of the charts, and have racked up hundreds of millions of views on YouTube alone. He’s sold out every single gig he’s ever performed in the USA (and there’ve been a few) and his last performance in London - at the famous Brixton Academy – sold out in nine minutes. 

His tracks aren’t just for the dance floor. Alesso’s been tearing up the charts all over the world. ‘Cool’ and ‘I Wanna Know’ have been downloaded by the hundreds of thousands, and have taken over radio playlists. He’s also teamed with some of the biggest names in music, including fellow track-spinner Calvin Harris, when they created the monster hit ‘Under Control’. And even if you’ve been living under a rock at the bottom of the sea, you won’t fail to have heard his track, ‘Heroes’, which featured the vocals of fellow sensational Swede Tove Lo, and was the song of 2014.
